Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Credebit mobile application (the “App”) and any related services (together, the “Service”) provided by Altibix Codelab Pvt. Ltd. (“Altibix”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By installing, accessing, or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the App. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Account registration

• You may need to register with a phone number (verified via SMS OTP) or a Google account.
• You are responsible for keeping your authentication credentials and device secure. The App offers an optional biometric / PIN lock that we strongly recommend you enable.
• Any activity that happens through your authenticated session is your responsibility.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

3. License to use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial finance management. You may not:

• Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except to the extent expressly permitted by law.
• Resell, sublicense, lease, or otherwise commercially exploit the App.
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable law, regulation, or the rights of others.
• Use the App to launder money, finance terrorism, or evade taxes.
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service.

4. Your content and data

You retain ownership of the financial data, contact names, notes, and other content (“Your Content”) you enter into the App. By using the App, you grant Altibix a limited licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you (including backup, sync, and analytics for your own viewing).

You are responsible for the accuracy of Your Content. We do not verify or validate it.

6. Third-party services

The App integrates with third-party services including but not limited to Google Firebase Authentication, Google Sign-In, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and a public currency exchange-rate provider. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services.

7. Currency conversion

The App fetches public exchange rates that may be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable. Rates shown in the App are indicative and should not be used for actual currency exchange, accounting, or tax purposes.

8. SMS & notification access

If you grant SMS or notification-listener access, the App parses messages locally on your device to help you record transactions. You understand that:

• Auto-detected entries require your review and approval before they are saved as transactions.
• Parsing is best-effort. We do not guarantee that every transaction will be detected or that detections will be accurate.
• You may revoke this access at any time from your device settings.

9. Subscriptions, fees, and in-app purchases

The App is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or subscription tiers in the future. If we do, the pricing and terms will be presented in-app before you are charged, and your continued use will be subject to those additional terms.

10. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, network issues, third-party outages, or events beyond our control. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

11. Updates

We may release updates to the App. Some updates may be installed automatically by Google Play and may be required for continued use. Updates may change features and remove functionality.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and request deletion of your account through the procedure described in our Account & Data Deletion page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or as required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, governing law) will survive.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP IS ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF MALICIOUS CODE.

14. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALTIBIX, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) INR 1,000.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Altibix from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (i) your violation of these Terms, (ii) your violation of any law or third-party right, or (iii) Your Content.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Kollam, Kerala, India.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms by posting an updated version at this URL with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
