Account & Data Deletion
This page explains how to request deletion of your Credebit account and the data associated with it. We provide this information as required by Google Play’s Data Safety policy.

1. Sign out vs delete
There are two different actions inside Credebit:
- Sign out — logs you out of the App on your device. It clears your authentication token and wipes the local SQLite database on that device so a different account can sign in cleanly. Your data on our servers is retained until you sign in again. Available from Settings → Sign out in the App.
- Delete account — permanently removes your account and all data associated with it from our active systems. Described below.
2. How to request account deletion
To delete your Credebit account, send an email to info@altibix.com with the subject line “Credebit account deletion request” from the email address associated with your account (or, for phone-only accounts, mention the phone number you signed up with so we can verify ownership).
Please include in the body of the email:
- The phone number you used to sign in (in international format, e.g.
+91 98xxx xxxxx), or the Google email you signed in with. - A brief confirmation: “I request permanent deletion of my Credebit account and associated data.”
We will verify the request by sending a confirmation message to the email address or phone number on the account. Once verified, deletion proceeds automatically.
3. What gets deleted
The following data is permanently deleted from our systems:
- Your account profile (display name, email, phone number).
- All authentication credentials and session tokens.
- All financial entries you created: clients, transactions, expenditures, bills, EMIs, budgets, savings goals, and notifications.
- Notification preferences, theme/language settings, and currency configuration tied to your account.
- Any local cache held on our backend.
4. What is retained, and for how long
A limited set of data may be retained, only where required by law or for legitimate operational reasons:

| Records required by law | As required | For example, transactional records subpoenaed by a court order, anti-money-laundering retention, or tax-related records, if any. |
5. Timeline
- We confirm receipt of the request within 3 business days.
- Verification is completed within 7 business days.
- Active-system deletion is completed within 30 days of verification.
- Encrypted backups are purged within an additional 60 days after that.
6. Effect of deletion
After deletion:
- You will no longer be able to sign in to that account.
- Local data on devices where you remain signed in is removed on the next launch or the next time the App contacts our servers.
- You may create a new Credebit account at any time using the same phone number or email; it will start with no prior history.
7. Data on third-party services
Some data is also held by our processors (e.g. Google Firebase for authentication). When we delete your account, we instruct those processors to delete your associated records according to their own retention timelines, typically within 60 days.
